Summer diffuser blends are great for any time of the year. But since it’s officially summertime, they are the perfect way to soak in the sunny season even when you’re stuck indoors. I find it amazing how a few drops of essential oils can make you feel like you’re sipping on a tropical drink by the beach, enjoying the fresh breeze in a flower field, or admiring the beauty of sun-kissed mountains.

The summer season is all about fun adventures and happy memories. Gone are the days when I had to wait impatiently for summer to come every year, and my only concern was whether to use a tanning oil or a tanning lotion. Now with summer diffuser blends, I can enjoy sunny vibes all year long.

When I think about fresh summer scents, I immediately think of aromas like radiant citrus scents, fragrant floral notes, and refreshing greenery, pine, and the woods. While you can benefit from the calming and soothing effects of pure essential oils at any season, some oils are especially beneficial during summer because they help you prepare for, enhance, and recover from all your seasonal activities like swimming, picnicking, gardening, camping, and vacationing. 

We also love to diffuse these essential oils at home when my family and I spend quality time together. They create the perfect ambiance for when we read their favorite summer books for kids!

Our essential oil diffusers and nebulizers never go into storage because I like our home to be smelling good all the time. I’ve made some seasonal blends over the years, from winter essential oil blends to fall-themed scents. Naturally, I had to make summer diffuser blends because it’s my favorite season! So during summer months or not, these  one of the easiest ways to enjoy the fresh scents of summer!

  • 2 drops basil
  • 2 drops hyssop
  • 2 drops lavender
  • 1 drops thyme

Instructions

  • Add 100–150 milliliters of room temperature water to the diffuser's tank up to the fill line. Avoid overfilling.
  • Drop in your favorite essential oil blend. 
  • Plug in the diffuser and turn it on. Select any specific settings like mist intensity or timer options if your model has them.
  • Enjoy the aroma while keeping an eye on the diffuser to ensure it doesn't run out of water.
  • Once you're done, turn off the diffuser. Empty any remaining water and clean the tank to prevent oil buildup.
