Steak night gets a shortcut with air fryer steak bites that cook in 5 minutes and still come out juicy, buttery, and crisp around the edges. A simple seasoning mix, touch of brown sugar, and garlic butter make them easy to serve over rice, with vegetables, or as a quick appetizer.
Whisk together some olive oil, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and brown sugar in a bowl. Toss the steak bites into the mixture and until well-coated.
Marinate for about 15–20 minutes.
Preheat air fryer to 400 °F. Arrange the steak in the basket in one flat layer (you might need to do two rounds). Air fry at 400 F for 4–6 minutes, or until they’re cooked just the way you like them.
While the steak is cooking, melt the butter in a small pan on the stove and stir in the garlic and parsley. Transfer the cooked steak bites on a plate and pour that warm garlic butter right over the top.
Let the meat sit for a couple of minutes to lock in the juices, then serve them up.
Notes
Cut the steak into evenly sized pieces so they cook at the same pace. Pat them dry before seasoning so the edges brown well.Serve: Pair with potatoes, mac and cheese, or rice. For a lighter meal, serve over greens, cauliflower rice, or quinoa with avocado, onions, or a fried egg. They also go well with green beans, carrots, or a salad.Store: Keep cooled steak bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4 days or freeze for 1 month.
