Instructions
Prepare your board by choosing a large, clean surface such as a wooden board, slate, or platter. If you’re serving both sweet and savory items, use two separate boards for the best presentation.
Place the larger pieces first to give the board structure. Use cheeses or big cookies for a sweet spread, and cheese wedges or small pumpkins for a savory one.
Fill in around the main items with meats for a savory board or candies and cookies for a sweet one. Arrange them by fanning or stacking to add texture and make the board look full.
Add small bowls with dips, olives, or nuts for savory boards, or candy and sprinkles for sweet ones. Tuck them into open spaces to create balance and variety.
Add fruits and fillers to bring color and balance. Use grapes, figs, or berries on savory boards, and fill gaps on sweet boards with gummies, popcorn, or wrapped chocolates.
Decorate for Halloween flair with plastic spiders, fake cobwebs, or mini pumpkins to set the spooky vibe.
Keep the board at room temperature before serving.
